Issues in generating PeopleSoft Compare report - System Error and SamDestroy codes

When running a compare report between a database and a Maintenance Pack file, the PS Admin had to face the below error message. This error would not allow generating the compare reports any further.

Records Application Upgrade Compare ended:  2011-09-08-00.33.44 (62,21)
Records Compare Report Created : c:\----\Upg00Records.prt

    (75,9)

Fields Application Upgrade Compare started:  2011-09-08-00.33.46 (62,6)

    System Error : File: E:\pt85008b-retail\peopl  Return: 805 - ORA-00001:
uniERT INTO PSPROJECTWORK     (PROBJECTVALUE4)      SELECT PROJM
    PSPROJECTITEM  WHERE PSPROJE (62,16)

    System Error : D PSPROJECTITEM.OBJECTID1 = 6  (62,16)

Fields Compare Report Created : c:\-----\Upg02Fields.prt

    (75,9)
Internal Error:  invalid transaction handle instance passed from

    SamDestroy 0: 3191 vs 0

    Solution:
We had the PS Admin to do the below changes to get this issue resolved.
    1. In compare report window, UNCHECKED the ''Update Project Item/Child Status'' option.
    2. In Configuration Manager - CHECKED the ''Disable DB Stats'' box. Alternatively one could collect the Database Stats while still having the ''Disable DB Stats'' box unchecked.
In a different database, PS Admin for a project encountered a little different issue. Below was the message PS Admin would face. However, the resolution is same as the above.

Error while running the compare report:
Records Application Upgrade Compare started: 2007-11-22-10.50.37 (62,6)

    System Error : SQL error. Stmt #: 6962 Error Position: 0 Return: 1 -
End of fetch (SQLSTATE PS001) (62,16)
System Error : RUN RECSTATS FOR TABLE (PSPROJECTWORK,LOW) (62,16)
Records Compare Report Created : c:\temp\HC9_MP1_ML\Upg00Records.prt

    (75,9)
Internal Error: invalid transaction handle instance passed from
    SamDestroy 0: 70 vs 0
